After studied medicine and graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 1993.

Lei Zhao worked as a doctor in rehabilitation medicine and neurology in hospitals in Beijing, China. Leading a life in acupuncture practice and education when teaching acupuncture in University of Salford.

She has a special interest in pain management and has been practicing acupuncture for nearly twenty years.
