“I had a total hysterectomy in 2001. in 2009, I met Gisela, a masseur for Rainbow – Well-being Therapy Centre. Since my operation I found it quite difficult to sit and stand up without pain in the scar area. It felt like hundreds of splinters of glass in it. Stretching was painful as well. i was having massages with Gisela for relaxation purposes until one day I asked her if she could have a look at it for me. By that time I had consulted my doctor and I had a scan to see what was causing it. The day Gisela had a look at it I hadn’t received the results yet. Gisela palpated it and applied massage to it and it felt better. It wasn’t painful anymore. I could stretch, sit and stand comfortably free of pain. Gisela’s opinion was that some tissue was “trapped” within the stitches when the surgery took place.

I also had surgery booked in order to correct it. When I went back to my doctor the scan results were ready and I mentioned Gisela, her massage and her opinion. The doctor was very surprised as the scan results were exactly what Gisela had said.

It is now 2012 and I am still free of pain and the massages are absolutely wonderful.”
